Summary: School sites will be facilitating professional development for classified employees on each respective campus on November 1, 2019.

Purpose of Professional Development
Increase knowledge of specific job related skills including but not limited to: Playworks, Reading Intervention, student mediation and social emotional development. Verbal Judo training.

Continue to grow paraprofessional staff to foster greater professional autonomy and efficacy.
Funding: Funding: Title I
9 Paraprofessionals (DPE/Marks) for 121 total hours paid not to exceed $2,362.64.
7 Paraprofessionals (BMS) not to exceed $770.
4 Paraprofessionals (DPHS) for 5.5 hours total not to exceed $560.
1 Paraprofessional (GCEC) for 7 hours total not to exceed $157.53.
1 Paraprofessional (CDS) for 7 hours total not to exceed $124.69.
Recommendation: Recommend to approve extra pay for extra duty for 15 classified staff members to have professional development training on November 1, 2019.
